Work Detail
Construction Work For Water And Sewage Pipelines – Replacement Renewal Of Long-Distance Pipeline Origin Ba I. N-Ergie Aktiengesellschaft Nürnberg Supplies The City Of Nuremberg With Drinking Water. With A Daily Output Of Around 13,000 M³, The Krämersweiher And Quelle Catchment Areas Contribute Around 12% Of Nurembergs Drinking Water Requirements. Since The Quelle Reservoir Was Put Into Operation In 1885, The Water Has Been Conveyed Over A Length Of Around 13.6 Km To The Schmausenbuck Elevated Reservoir Via The Quelle Pipeline (Flu). Due To The Geodetic Height Difference Between The Socket And The Schmausenbuck Elevated Tank, Some Of The Water Is Drained Away Without The Use Of Pumps. The Piping Material Used Was Socket Pipes Made Of Gray Cast Iron With A Clear Diameter Of 550 Mm And Lengths Of 5 M Or 6 M. The Long-Distance Line Runs Predominantly In Forest Areas That Are Part Of The Reichswald Nuremberg. Exceptions Are The Crossings Of The A3 And A9 Motorways. Here There Are Tunnel Structures Under The Highways In Which The Pipelines Are Laid. In The Course Of Previous Pipeline Damage, Damaged Pipe Sections Were Removed And Replaced With New Pipe Sections (E.G. Steel, Cemented On The Inside, Pe-Coated On The Outside). The Flu Has Recently Been Subject To Various Condition Assessments. It Is Planned To Renew The 130-Year-Old Pipeline In The Next Few Years. A Preliminary Study Examined The Possibilities Of Various Route Variants For Replacement Renewal. As Part Of This, A Spatial Resistance Analysis Was Carried Out In Spring 2017. With Regard To The Necessary Renovation Of The Tunnel Structure (Upgrading/New Construction), A Feasibility Study Was Also Carried Out On Behalf Of N-Ergie Aktiengesellschaft. In Addition, New Alternative Routes Were Examined In 2023 And A Plan Approval Procedure Was Carried Out In 2024. As Part Of A Long-Term Investment Program, The Original Pipeline Is To Be Replaced Along The Entire Route. As A Result, The Planning Will Be Implemented For The First Time In 2026 With The Construction Of The First Construction Phase. This Involves Renovating The Old Pipe Using The Reduction Process With Pipes Made Of Pe 100. As An Early Measure, A Renewal Of The Crossing Of The Bab 9 Has Already Been Implemented. The Renewal Of The Existing Line Is Carried Out Using The Reduction Process. A Pe-Hd 560 X 50.8 Pipe Is Inserted Into The Existing Dn 550 Pipe And A Pe-Hd 450 X 40.9 Plastic Pipe Is Pulled Into The Dn 450. The Pipe That Has Been Pulled In Expands Again After Being Pulled In And Lies Against The Inner Wall. This Results In A Reduction Of The Previous Diameter From Dn 550 To 448 Mm Or From Dn 450 To 368 Mm. The Entire Distance Of The First Construction Phase Is 3.2 Km.
