Tenders Are Invited For Examination Of The Domestic Water Supply Capacity Of Urban Areas In Wide-Scale Disturbance Situations

The Water Supply Unit Of Southeastern Finlands Vitality Center Is Requesting A Bid For A Project Where It Is Intended To Develop Hydraulic Modeling Using A Method That Can Reliably Examine The Regional Supply Capacity Of Domestic Water Supply Facilities In Various Large-Scale Disruptions To Water Procurement. In The Disturbance Situations Considered In The Project, A Large Part Of The Water Sources Located In The Area And Critical Parts Of The Network Are Absent Or In Limited Use Due To, For Example, Regional Drought, Extreme Weather Phenomena, Widespread Pollution Or Intentionally Caused Destruction. The Plan Is To Treat The Area As A Single Entity. In Addition To Theoretical Calculations And Considerations, The Task Requires That The Domestic Water Delivery Capacity Is Examined Using A Network Model. As An Option Of The Project, Testing Of The Developed Examination Method Can Be Carried Out In Another Urban Area, Which Can Be Used In Testing The Examination Method. The Introduction Of The Option Is Negotiated And Decided Between The Contracting Parties.
