CALL FOR PROPOSALS /ALERT/DRC/007/2026 CALL FOR EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST (EOI) Submission of Youth-Led Peace Initiatives Project: Generation Peace (KCA) 1. Background and Rationale for the EOI As part of the Kizazi Cha Amani project, implemented by International Alert and Pole Institute with funding from the European Union, young people from Goma, Nyiragongo, Bukavu, Rubavu, and Rusizi participated in Participatory Action Research (PAR) and the development of Youth Agendas for Peace. This call aims to identify youth-led initiatives that address these priorities and are adapted to local realities 2. Purpose of the call To identify and select peace initiatives proposed by additional youth structures in the DRC, contributing to social cohesion, the prevention of tensions, and the active participation of young people in their communities. These initiatives will also aim to strengthen connections between young people in the East and West of the DRC, particularly between those in North and South Kivu and those in Kinshasa, in order to foster a common understanding of conflict dynamics and promote concerted actions likely to influence the integration of youth priorities into public policies in the DRC. 3. Who can submit?
