Work Detail
Tenders are invited for Training Workshop on the "An Eye for an Eye" Guide, Focusing on Conflict Transformation and Nonviolent Communication Skills. Closing Date: Sunday, 23. Aug 2026 Intervention Sector(s): Children & Youth, Conflict Resolution, Training & Capacity Building We invite facilitators and activists working with adolescents and those involved in conflict transformation and the culture of nonviolence to attend an assessment training workshop on the "An Eye for an Eye" guide. The workshop aims to develop knowledge and skills in conflict transformation and nonviolent communication. This is part of a project designed and implemented in partnership between the Civil Peace Service Forum ( propeace.de/en/lebanon) and the Civil Steps for Change Company (steplslb.org). An eye for an eye is an applied educational guide whose sessions and exercises have been implemented since 2014. Although initially designed for school teachers in Lebanon, its application has expanded to include diverse spaces for working with children, such as workshops and extracurricular activities, or older age groups. This is all within the framework of striving to spread a culture of nonviolence not only theoretically but also practically, by promoting nonviolent behavior in the daily lives of children and youth, and providing nonviolent tools and alternatives for communication, especially in our context rich with diversity, differences, and conflicts. Hence, the guidance sessions aim to achieve a deeper understanding of the self and the other, which is reflected in how we deal with him/her, so that we can express our feelings and needs, empathize with each other, understand commonalities and appreciate differences. Workshop dates: September 3-6 , 2026 (Arrival September 2 afternoon, closing September 6 after lunch ) Workshop location: Al Ramliya, Hey Hostel Accommodation costs (in shared rooms) and meals are covered, in addition to securing a bus from Beirut to the workshop location. How to apply We are waiting to receive registration forms for participation from those who meet the following criteria: - Facilitator or coordinator working with adolescents within a team/association/organization or any civil society group - T/Works in an existing program targeting adolescent boys and girls or in the field of conflict transformation and culture of nonviolence - The intention to apply the guidelines or sessions from them in his/her work with people - Focusing on working with adolescents and people in interactive, creative, and enjoyable ways to learn - Willingness and ability to commit to attending all four days of the workshop The deadline for accepting applications is August 23rd, and we will contact those who have been accepted at the end of the month.
