Expression of Interest for Local Champions Initiative Senegal IFC Senegal Country Management Unit, in close collaboration with the FCS Africa team, is leading the launch of an assessment phase of the Local Champions Initiative in Senegal. This phase is designed to develop a rigorous understanding of the SME ecosystem, mapping financing pathways and diagnosing critical gaps, while identifying and screening prospective businesses to assess their bankability, investment readiness, and technical assistance needs. The insights and pipeline generated will directly inform a subsequent implementation phase aimed at expanding IFCs investment portfolio, strengthening the capacity of local private sector actors and supporting their growth, and advancing IFCs country strategy in Senegal by addressing persistent financing constraints and catalyzing sustainable, locally led economic development.
