Deployable Weather Observation System . The Department Of National Defence Is Seeking A Commercial-Off-The-Shelf Weather Observation And Reporting System That Is Highly Portable, Low Maintenance, Battery Operated And Has A Small Form-Factor (Size And Weight) To Permit Field Carriage And Set-Up By A Single Individual. The System Must Autonomously Collect, Analyze And Store Environmental Data, And Be Capable Of Transmitting The Weather Parameters Via Various Means Including Satellite, Hard-Wire, Rf, And Cellular. The Contract Will Include Optional Quantities And In-Service Support Throughout The Contract Years.
