With The Acquisition Of The Raspberry Palace (Formerly Siemens) By The Free State Of Bavaria, A Spatial Reorganization Is To Take Place With The Merger Of The Faculty Of Philosophy And The Theology Department As Part Of The Humanities And Social Sciences Center Of The Fau Erlangen-Nuremberg. Existing Buildings: The Building Complex Designed By The Architect Hans Hertlein For The Siemens-Schuckertwerke From The 1950S Extends On The Largely Flat Area Between Werner Von Siemens Strasse, Mozartstrasse And Sieboldstrasse In Erlangen. The Design Of The Administration Building Is Based On The So-Called “Siemens Style” Coined By Hans Hertlein, Which Was Primarily Realized In Siemensstadt Berlin. The Erlangen Raspberry Palace (Which Received This Name Because Of Its Color) Is Based On The Wernerwerk Skyscraper In Berlin. The Raspberry Palace Is A Listed Building. Task: The Raspberry Palace, Which Currently Has Around 24,000 M² Of Usable Space, Is To Form The Southern End Of The Planned New Science Axis In Erlangen And Will Be Expanded To A Usable Area Of Around 30,000 M² As Part Of The Necessary Renovation. In The Future, The Raspberry Palace Will House The Faculty Of Philosophy And The Department Of Theology, Central Scientific And University Facilities, A Cafeteria And A University Library (With Approx. 8,800 M² Of Usable Space).
