The Oberhausen City Council Approved The Urban Integrated Development Concept (Isek) Perspective Holten In September 2024. One Of The Leading Projects From The Isek That Provides Impetus Is The Reorganization And Redesign Of The Holten Marketplace, Including The Reorganization Of The Mobility Offerings. With The Implementation Of The Project, The City Is Pursuing The Goals Of: - Upgrading Or Creating New Public Meeting Spaces, - Strengthening Local Mobility, - Better Linking The Urban Spaces With The Surrounding Green Structures, - Promoting Leisure And Recreational Functions As Well As Socio-Cultural Cohesion In The District And - Securing And Further Developing The Historical Townscape In The Long Term. Initial Ideas For The Future Development Of The Marketplace Were Developed As Part Of The Isek Process.
