Tenders are invited for Trainer/Consultant for Trauma Management and Trauma-Informed Care Training. Closing Date: Sunday, 16. Aug 2026 Intervention Sector(s): Mental Health, Training & Capacity Building Remuneration range: 1000 to 2000 (USD) Duration of Contract: 4 days Background Tabitha for Relief and Development is seeking a qualified trainer/consultant to design and deliver a specialised four-day training on Trauma Management and Trauma-Informed Care. The training aims to strengthen participants capacities to recognise trauma symptoms, provide initial psychosocial support, apply trauma-informed approaches, and ensure safe and ethical responses to individuals affected by distressing or traumatic experiences. Target Participants The training will target 20 participants, including: Representatives of local community-based organisations Staff from Social Development Centres Municipal representatives Community members with experience in social work, community engagement, or psychosocial support Tabitha staff Scope of Work The selected trainer/consultant will be responsible for: Developing and adapting training materials and practical exercises Delivering interactive training using participatory and adult-learning methodologies Facilitating discussions, case studies, group work, and practical simulations Conducting pre-training and post-training assessments Submitting a final training report, including participant attendance, evaluation results, and recommendations Training Topics The training should cover, at a minimum, the following topics: Introduction to trauma and its psychological, emotional, behavioural, and social impacts Principles of Trauma-Informed Care Psychoeducation on trauma-related symptoms and recovery processes Cognitive restructuring and management of negative thought patterns Gender-specific aspects of trauma and the integration of gender-sensitive approaches Exposure techniques and their safe application in controlled settings Relaxation, self-regulation, and stress-management techniques, including breathing exercises and muscle relaxation Safety planning, crisis response, and risk mitigation Cultural and contextual considerations in trauma interventions Professional ethics, safeguarding, confidentiality, and professional boundaries in trauma-related work Practical application through role plays, case studies, and real-life scenarios Required Qualifications Applicants should demonstrate: An advanced degree in Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Counselling, Social Work, Mental Health, or a related field Proven experience delivering training on trauma, mental health, and psychosocial support Strong understanding of humanitarian and community-based mental health interventions Experience working with local organisations, municipalities, or community actors is an asset Excellent facilitation and adult-learning skills Fluency in Arabic Duration and Timing The training will be delivered over four days and is expected to take place at the end of August 2026. The exact dates will be determined in coordination with the selected trainer. Financial Conditions Applicants must submit a financial quotation covering the fees for the full four-day training. The payable amount will be subject to an 8.5% Ministry of Finance tax deduction.
