Bids Are Invited For Dedicated Internet Upgrade Lan Tel Equipment Renewal

The Municipal Cultural Corporation Of Chillán, Hereinafter “The Corporation”, Through These Rules Calls For Public Bidding For The Contracting Of The “Upgrade Of Dedicated Internet Service, Renewal Of Lan Equipment And Ip Telephony”. The Municipal Cultural Corporation Of Chillán Currently Has An Operational Data And Telephone Network In The Municipal Theater. The Network Was Installed With Fast Ethernet Technology And The Current Switches Operate At A Maximum Of 100 Mbps On Their Access Ports, Which Prevents Taking Advantage Of A Higher Speed Internet Link. The Service Contracted Today Provides 100 Mbps Download And 10 Mbps Upload, An Asymmetric Relationship That No Longer Meets The Operational Needs Of The Facility. Increasing The Providers Speed Without Renewing The Switching Equipment Would Produce No Real Benefit: The Bottleneck Is In The Internal Switches, Not In The External Link. Therefore, This Tender Jointly Contracts The New Link And The Network Equipment That Makes It Usable.
