Work Detail
Tenders are invited for Jivi 1000 IU Contains: 400 IU of Damoctocog Alfa Pegol Per Ml after Reconstitution (1000 IU/2.5 ml); 1 Vial of Powder and 1 Pre-Filled Syringe Containing 2.5 Ml of Water for Injection. The Company is Required to Provide a 20% Quantity of the Product Free of Charge. Closing date 19/8/2026 "Jivi 1000 IU contains: 400 IU of damoctocog alfa pegol per ml after reconstitution (1000 IU/2.5 ml); 1 vial of powder and 1 pre-filled syringe containing 2.5 ml of water for injection. The company is required to provide a 20% quantity of the product free of charge. We wish to note that the emergency approval decision for the product (Session 1294) is an urgent measure to address the shortage of Factor VIII, as requested by the Ministry. This entails assigning a national code to the product but does not prevent the manufacturer from urgently participating in Kimadia tenders to supply the product to patientscovering 15% of the Factor VIII requirement, as stated in the previous decision. 2- Referring the file for both products to economic studies aims to secure the best offers and reduce treatment costs for Kimadia. Concurrently, the study is to be completed by a joint committeecomprising the National Committee for Drug Selection, the Advisory Committee on Bleeding Disorders, and the Advisory Committee on Clinical Hematologyto evaluate the Factor VIII products submitted. The goal is to provide a recommendation regarding efficacy and cost-effectiveness, ultimately reaching a final decision on the products used to treat Factor VIII deficiency. 3- The inclusion of the phrase continuing the study (hands-on experience) does not constitute a new condition for the products approval; it refers to a long-standing prior decision (dating back to early 2025) that has already completed all its stages. The product will be supplied in accordance with that previous decision, under which it is provided as a free donation by the company. In light of the above, the committee recommends that His Excellency the Minister ratify the decision made in Session 1294 to avoid delays in the provision of Factor VIII."
