Work Detail
The Diseases On The Map Project, Implemented By The Finnish Horse Information Center And Savonia University Of Applied Sciences, Will Start Sampling To Identify Infectious Diseases In Horses In The Fall Of 2026 (The Goal Is To Start On October 1, 2026). The Project Has Received Eu Rural Funding From The Ely Center In Häme, Whose Tasks Are Currently Handled By The Southeast Finland Vitality Center. Veterinarians Treating Horses Take Samples In Cases Of Suspected Disease And Send Them To The Laboratory To Be Analyzed For The Pathogens They Suspect. The Project Pays 50% And The Owner Of The Horse Pays 50% Of The Analysis Costs. The Project Will Continue Until June 30, 2028. It Is Not Possible To Estimate The Exact Number Of Samples, But We Encourage Horse Owners To Clearly Take More Active Samples Than At Present. The Subscriber Does Not Have A Quantity Purchase Obligation, But Services Are Ordered As Needed. The End Result Of The Procurement Procedure Is A Framework Agreement For The Period 1 October 2026 - 30 April 2028. Samples Will Be Taken Between 1 November 2026 And 30 April 2028. One Provider Is Selected As The Service Provider.
