Work Detail
Architectural, Construction, Engineering And Inspection Services – Study Of The N32 Roeselare – Conversion Of The Meensesteenweg X Meiboomlaan Roundabout – From Project Note To Follow-Up Of The Works. The Meensesteenweg Meiboomlaan Roundabout In Roeselare, Also Known As The Spillebad Roundabout, Is The Most Dangerous Intersection In West Flanders. The Roundabout Is Very Unsafe For Cyclists. The Flemish Government Wants To Tackle This Intersection Infrastructurally In The Relatively Short Term To Improve Road Safety, For Road Users In General And For Soft Road Users In Particular. The Reconstruction Must Increase The Legibility Of The Intersection, Adapt The Infrastructure To Contemporary Guidelines And Optimize Accessibility For Vulnerable Road Users. The Aim Is To Ensure A Smooth And Maximum Conflict-Free Flow Of Pedestrians, Cyclists, Public Transport And Motorized Traffic. The Intersection Is An Intersection With Relatively High Intensities. The Roundabout Leads To Meiboomlaan (N37), Meensesteenweg (N32), Westlaan And Hippoliet Spilleboutdreef (N37). The City Of Roeselare Emphasizes The Importance Of The Spatial Integration Of The Intersection Within The Urban Context As A Southern Gateway To The City. The F37 Bicycle Highway Also Runs Through The Intersection And Must Be Integrated Into It. Recently, “The Straw Route”, The Part Of The Bicycle Highway For The Section South Of The R32 (Great Ring Road), Was Realized. In Anticipation Of A Complete Redesign Of The Roundabout, As A Quick Win, Raised Traffic Islands Have Already Been Installed To Offer Cyclists More Protection. The Project Area Is Located Within The Built-Up Area. A Speed Limit Of 50 Km Per Hour Applies On All Branches. The Intersection In Question Is Currently Designed As A Five-Lane Roundabout. It Is A One-Lane Roundabout With One-Way Cycle Paths, Separated From The Roadway By Markings And/Or Folding Beacons. A Bypass Has Been Constructed On The Meiboomlaan Branch Which Diverts Traffic To The Meensesteenweg. The Intersection Meensesteenweg X Heilig-Hartstraat, Approximately 40M South Of The Roundabout, Is Designed As A Right-In-Right-Out Intersection. The City Of Roeselare Wishes To Optimize The Sewers In The Study Area In A Future-Oriented Manner. This Future-Oriented Optimization Must Be Studied From The Design Assignment In Function Of Later Adjacent Files On The Various Connecting Branches (Note: Preparatory Research Has Already Been Carried Out For Optimizing The Sewerage System, Which Can Be Taken Over As A Starting Point). The Services Include: - The Preparation Of A Preliminary Design And Associated Approved Project Note - The Preparation And Submission Of The Environmental Permit Application File - The Preparation Of A Technical Design For The Superstructure - The Preparation Of A Technical Design For Sewerage - Follow-Up Of The Works - Preparation And Completion - Follow-Up Of The Works - During Implementation - Carrying Out A Traffic Study (Gp): Parking Study + Traffic Impact Analysis - Exploring The Boundaries Of The Public Domain (Local Roads) - Drawing Up Any Expropriation Plans -
