The Planned Demolition Measure Serves To Clear The Construction Site For An Extension Of The Gelsenkirchen Evangelical Hospital. This Includes The Demolition Of The Former Gelsenkirchen District Court (3- Or 5-Story Building With A Hipped/Gable Roof Or Flat Roof) As Well As An Adjacent 2-Story Institution Building With Various Extensions. There Is Also An Underground Former Air Raid Shelter (Bunker Facility) From The Second World War On The Site, Which Is Also To Be Demolished. The Total Construction Volume To Be Demolished Is Approx. 60,000 M3 (Bri). The Buildings Of The Former District Court Partly Have A Basement And Are Directly Adjacent To The Street Space (Sidewalk And Street) Of Overwegstrasse. The Buildings Were Built At Different Times, The Former District Court (Old Building) At The Turn Of The Century And The Extension After The Second World War, Partly With A Basement And In Some Areas In Danger Of Collapsing. In Some Areas Of The Building, Various Demolition Materials Containing Harmful Substances Such As Asbestos, Pcb, Kmf, Etc. Must Be Professionally Dismantled And Disposed Of As Intended. The Entire Demolition Takes Place In An Inner-City Environment With Immediately Adjacent Neighboring Buildings And Therefore Places High Demands On The Process And Logistics Of The Demolition Work.
