The Proposed Work Entails The Construction Of Shoreline Protection On 3 Pocket Beaches (North Beach, Middle Beach, And South Beach) Within Gwa’Yas’Dums Village On Gilford Island. The Shoreline Protection Includes Sections Of Modular Concrete Block Sea Wall, Armour Rock, And Beach Nourishment Material On A Total Length Of Shoreline Of 283 M Across All Three Pocket Beaches. The Work Also Includes Construction Of 108 M Of Boardwalk, And The Installation Of 3 Uncovered, And 1 Covered Awak’Was. Awak’Was Are Cultural Viewing Platforms Or Meeting Places Along The Shoreline. They Are Pile Supported Timber Structures. All Work Shall Be Substantially Completed By February 15Th, 2027. All Prices Shall Be Good For The Completion Of The Work. A Mandatory Tenderer’S Site Meeting Will Be Held On August 13, 2026, At 10:30 Pacific Daylight Time Starting At The Admin Building In Gwa’Yas’Dums. Water Taxi Will Be Covered For A Maximum Of 2 People Per Bidder. All Other Costs To Attend Are The Responsibility Of The Bidder (Fuel, Time, Cost Of Accommodation, Food, Transport To Port Hardy).
