Established On 35,000 M², Megacite Is An Events Center Which Allows The Organization Indoors And Outdoors Of Events Such As Trade Fairs, Congresses, Seminars, Exhibitions, Shows, Etc. Built In 1984, An Extension To The Building Was Carried Out In 2006. It Mainly Includes A Set Of Spaces Composed Of An Amphitheater With 986 Seats, 4 Exhibition Halls Of 3800 M², 2400 M², 1800 M² And 1135 M², A Multi-Purpose Reception Area Of 600 M², 7 Workshop Rooms Of 30 To 300 People, A Bar, Kitchens, Outdoor Areas Allowing The Installation Of Marquees. The Extension Opened In 2006 Includes An Additional Amphitheater With 350 Seats, 2 Workshop Rooms (70 And 90 Seats), A Press Room, And An Office Space Dedicated To Organizers. Given The State Of The Site, The Next Contract Will Entrust The Concessionaire With The Construction Of A Modular Hall Of 5,000 To 8,000 M² Intended For Fairs, Exhibitions, Exhibitions And Conferences Including A Catering Office As Well As The Renovation Of The Current Spaces. The Cost Of The Project Is Estimated Between €18 And €23.5 Million Including Tax. The Construction Of This Modular Hall Will Involve The Demolition And Redevelopment Of Part Of The Infrastructure Which Will Be The Subject Of Work Supported By Amiens Métropole Which Will Take Place After 2032. Finally, The Operation Of The Shared Spaces Of The Quai De Linnovation Will Be Integrated As An Option Within The Perimeter Of The Concession.
