The Rng Department Of The Amsterdam Umc Plans To Purchase A New Mammographer. Amsterdam Umc Faces Major Challenges After The Merger. In Recent Years, Several Shifts In Care Have Taken Place Between The Amc And Vumc Locations. The Mammography Is Lateralized To The Vumc Location. This Resulted In The Mammographer Being Moved From The Amc Location To The Vumc Location, Where A Mammographer Was Already Located. The Working Methods Of These Systems Have Been Harmonized In Recent Years. This Is Partly Made Possible By The Comparable Mammography Systems Of Amc And Vumc. The Vumc Location Currently Has 2 Mammographers Of Different Ages And A Prone Biopsy System, Which Can Perform Both Stereotactic And Tomosynthesis-Controlled Procedures (Called A Puncture Table). Due To The Deteriorating Quality And Stability Of 1 Of The 2 Mammographs, Partly Due To Its Age, The Department Intends To Replace This Mammograph. However, The Puncture Table (Hologic Affirm Prone Breast Biopsy System) And The Other Mammograph (Hologic Dimensions 3D) Are Not Replaced. This Means That The New Mammographer Must Be Able To Function Properly Within The Current Harmonized Mammography Unit. Harmonization And Creating Peace Within The Unit Is Of Great Importance In Our Merging Hospital. That Is Why It Is Also Important That The New Mammographer Connects To The Existing Mammography Infrastructure Due To Image Display, User Interface, Workflow, Accessories, Qc And Interchangeability Of Personnel. 1 Mammographer
