The Fourth (Fourth) Class Road Network Of The Stara Zagora Municipality And Part Of The Third (Third) Class Republican Road Network Maintained By The Stara Zagora Municipality Is 242.10 Km Long. The Ivth Class Road Network Of Stara Zagora Municipality Is Characterized As Roads Of Local Importance, Serving Small Areas Or Individual Settlements, With Little Economic Importance. However, Part Of The Road Network Serves Areas With Functioning Tourist Complexes. Another Part Of The Road Network Serves The Transportation Of Work Shifts To The Mining And Energy Complex Maritsa East. This Necessitates Higher Requirements For The Winter Maintenance Of The Municipal Road Network, Despite The Lower Qualification Class Defined In Ordinance No. 20.11.2012). The Specific Requirements For The Operational Condition Of The Ivth (Fourth) Class Road Network Of The Municipality Of Stara Zagora During The Winter Period Are Defined In Appendix No. 2 And 3. The Requirements For The Operational Condition Of Part Of The Municipal Road Network Have Been Increased With The Aim Of Maximally Reducing The Risk To The Population And Quickly Overcoming The Adverse Impact In The Event Of Dangerous And Particularly Dangerous Meteorological Phenomena. The Road Network Of Stara Zagora Municipality Is Grouped Into Three Winter Maintenance Areas: District West; District South; District East; The Road Sections Of The Municipal Road Network, By Areas For Snow Removal, Subject To The Public Procurement Are Presented In Appendix No. 1. Winter Maintenance And Cleaning - Includes The Following Activities: 4.2.1. Round-The-Clock Duty Of Technical Personnel During The Autumn-Winter Season. 4.2.2. Collection And Transmission Of Information On The Condition Of The Road Network, Object Of The Order During The Autumn-Winter Season. 4.2.3.Snow Removal In The Event Of Snow Cover Formation, Snow Accumulation, Compacted Snow Layer And Snow Slurry. 4.2.4.Processing Of The Road Surface Against Icing, By Sandblasting With Sand, Sand-Salt Mixture Or Chemical Products, According To Ordinance No. Rd-02-20-19/12.11.2012 On Maintenance And Current Repair Of Roads (Issued By The Minister Of Regional Development And Public Works, Promulgation, Sg No. 91/ 20.11.2012 Effective From 20.11.2012). This Treatment Is Carried Out In Icy Conditions, On Steep And Difficult Road Sections, As Well As In The Presence Of A Compacted Snow Layer On The Roadway. 4.2.5. When Carrying Out The Activities For Winter Maintenance Of The Road Network, It Is Necessary To Take Into Account The Specific Conditions For Parts Of The Road Network And The Facilities On Them, In Terms Of Operational Characteristics And Service Objects (For Example: Bridge Facilities For Which Winter Maintenance Should Guarantee A Good Operational Condition Throughout The Winter Period).
