Execution Of An Assisted Natural Regeneration Project On The Primavera And El Palenque Properties, Magallanes And Chilean Antarctica Region. The Project Execution Areas Include Two Stands Of Nothofagus Antarctica Located In The Primavera Ranch And Three Stands In The El Palenque Ranch, Of Which One Corresponds To Nothofagus Antarctica And Two To Nothofagus Pumilio. All Of Them Present A High Degree Of Degradation As A Result Of Livestock Activity. The Total Area Of ​​Intervention Is 30 Hectares, Distributed Equally Between Both Properties, With 15 Hectares In The Primavera Ranch And 15 Hectares In The El Palenque Ranch. Currently, These Areas Have Abundant Stumps And Standing Dead Trees With Basal Regrowth. However, All Of These Regrowths Show Severe Damage From Browsing, Which Has Significantly Limited Their Development. As A Consequence, 100% Of The Individuals Have Reduced Growth, Without Exceeding 50 Cm In Height. This Condition Reflects The Impact That Livestock Farming Has Had On These Forests And Highlights The Need To Implement Protection Measures Aimed At Assisted Natural Regeneration. These Actions Will Protect Regrowth From Damage Caused By Animals, Favoring Their Establishment And Growth, With The Aim Of Recovering Forest Cover, Avoiding The Loss Of These Individuals And Contributing To The Restoration Of The Ecosystem And Associated Biodiversity.
