Work Detail
Research And Development Services And Related Consultancy Services – Providing Professional Evaluation Of Ground Surface Textures On Concrete Roadways In The Zeb - Non-Contact Determination Of Longitudinal Evenness. Since The Introduction Of The Technical Test Regulations For The Non-Contact Measurement Of Road Surfaces [1,2], The Evaluation Of Longitudinal Evenness Requires The Determination Of The True Longitudinal Height Profile. To Date, Only The High-Speed Monitoring Method (Hrm) Has Been Suitable For Measuring The True Longitudinal Height Profile. Comparable Ones, E.G. B. Methods Used In Other Countries, Such As An Inertial Profilometer (Distance Measurement In Combination With An Acceleration Sensor) Are Currently Not Approved. However, The Hrm Process In Its Current Form Is Not Suitable For Different Surface Structures Such As Grinding Structures. Due To The Material Removal, A Longitudinal, Alternating Web-Groove Pattern Is Created On Ground Surfaces, Whereby Small Local Deviations Of The Multiple-Scanned Points Can Lead To Large Deviations In The Relative Height Measurements Of The Laser Sensors. In Addition, Even Small Angles Between The Longitudinal Structures And The Direction Of Travel Of The Measuring Vehicle Lead To The Appearance Of An Artificial Unevenness. The Accuracy Of Measuring Systems That Work On The Basis Of Non-Contact Measurement Can Therefore Be Strongly Negatively Influenced By The Grinding Structures. The Aim Of This Project Is To Identify, Develop And Test A Measuring Method That Enables Non-Contact Measurement Of Ground Structures. To This End, The Effects Of The Directional Structures Of Grinding Textures On The Common Measurement Methods For Determining Longitudinal Height Profiles, Such As The Hrm Beam, Will Be Described And Compared With Special Variants Of These Systems Or Alternative Measurement Systems Adapted For Grinding Textures. The Basis Of This Comparison Should Be Measurements With The Planograph, As This Is Not Or Less Susceptible To The Influences Of A Ground Texture Due To The Width Of Its Measuring Wheel. In Addition To The Development Of A Non-Contact, High-Speed Measuring Method, A Comprehensibly Justified Concept For Calculating The Longitudinal Height Profile Points, Taking Into Account The Web And Groove Of The Grinding Textures, Is To Be Developed. Such A Measurement Method Would Ideally Be Usable Both In Condition Recording And In Construction Contract Measurements And Should Work On All Road Surfaces Known Today.
