Tenders Are Invited For Award Of 2Nd Tamping Course On The Eastern Route

1. The Wesel District Company (Hereinafter: The Companys Own Company Or Client) Is The Owner Of The Wesel District Railway, Which Connects The Port Of Emmelsum, Operated By Deltaport Gmbh & Co. Kg (Hereinafter: Deltaport), To The Deutsche Bahn Railway Infrastructure. 2. Based On An Agreement Between The Company And Deltaport, Deltaport Takes Over The Operational Network Management With Regard To The Railway Infrastructure Kreisbahn Wesel In The Name And For The Account Of The Company. Deltaport Acts As The Awarding Authority In This Award Procedure And Is Therefore The Contact Person For The Bidders. To The Extent That The Tender Documents Contain Notification Or Transmission Obligations And The Right To Information Of The Bidders/Bidding Consortia, Deltaport Is Entitled To Receive And Provide Information. 3. In 2021, Deltaport (On Behalf Of Its Own Company) Has Already Publicly Tendered And Commissioned Construction Work To Reactivate The Main Track Of The 2 Km Long Eastern Line (East Track) Of The Port Railway (Lot 1) And To Dismantle The Disused Parallel Track (Track 3 East; Lot 2).4. The Subject Of Lot 1 Was, Among Other Things, The Removal Of The Track Ballast Along Its Entire Length Up To 25 Cm Below The Lower Edge Of The Sleeper, Its Cleaning And Its Reinstallation. The Gravel Bed Had To Be Stuffed Into Two Passages. 5. The First Tamping Cycle Was Carried Out. However, The Second Tamping Pass Could Not Be Carried Out As Planned Due To Parts Of The Route Being Impassable (Bridge Closure). 6. Since The Route Is Now Open To Traffic Again, The Implementation Of The Second Tamping Pass Will Now Be Advertised Separately.7.
