Through Its National Presence And Its Regional And International Networks, Mosaics Strategic Goal Is To Achieve The Coexistence Of People In Friendly Communities And National Systems. Founded By Activists And Legal And Health Experts, Mosaic Provides Specialized And Sensitive Mental Health Services (Drama And Art Therapy Included), Psychosocial Support, Capacity Development And Awareness Sessions For Lgbtiq+ Individuals In Addition To Protection Services Including Case Management And Legal Services Ranging From Consultations To Representation If Necessary. Mosaic Is Seeking Talented Illustrators And Comic Artists To Collaborate On A Unique Graphic Storytelling Project Documenting The Lived Experiences Of Lgbtqia+ Individuals In Lebanon. Working Closely With Community Members And The Project Team, Selected Artists Will Transform Anonymized Real-Life Stories Into Compelling Visual Narratives That Promote Dignity, Visibility, And Advocacy While Adhering To Trauma-Informed And Safeguarding Principles. We Particularly Encourage Applications From Artists From Diverse Sogie And Artists With Experience In Social Justice, Human Rights, Or Community-Based Storytelling. Key Responsibilities: Read Two Prepared Scripts For Two Stories To Be Made As Comics (English Language). Coordinate With Project Manager To Ensure Inclusion And Harmony With The Original Story And The General Project Scope. Participatory Approach To Produce Works Relevant To The Co-Authors. Review Style And Page Numbers With The Project Manager. Attend A Validation Session During Which A Detailed Draft Version Of The Comics Will Be Shown To The Co-Authors For Their Validation And Feedback. Get The Co-AuthorS Input And Adapt Accordingly When Possible. Deliver Final Comics Pages Ready For Print Before September 3, 2016 Qualifications & Skills: Education: Degree In Illustration, Fine Arts, Graphic Design Or Animation Or Sufficient Knowledge Of The Medium. Previous Experience In Comics Making Even If Not Extensive. Mandatory Experience In Preparing Files That Are Ready For Printing (Formats, Resolution, Layout). Knowledge: Strong Understanding Of Minority Risks Pertinent To Lgbtqia+ Communities, Inclusion And Representation. Skills: Drawing, Comics Basics, Lettering, Digital Or Traditional Illustration, Printing Requirement Basics. Strong Communication Skills With An Ability To Receive Feedback And Adapt To Requirements. Ability To Respect Project Milestones To Deliver Drafts On Time For Feedback And Finalized Versions On Time For Print. Languages: English Language Is Required.
