Building on the achievements of previous phases, the project promotes sustainable local development by strengthening environmental practices, advancing circular economy approaches, and empowering women and youth as key drivers of social cohesion and community resilience. Through participatory planning and collaboration with municipalities, working groups, and local facilitators, MAKKEN 2 supports communities in revisiting, enhancing, and scaling previously identified initiatives, ensuring they are sustainable, locally owned, and responsive to evolving community needs. In response to the recent humanitarian situation in Lebanon, MAKKEN 2 has been expanded to include an emergency response component. This component provides psychosocial support, recreational and educational activities for children and youth, capacity building for local responders, and community-based interventions in collective shelters and host communities across North Lebanon, Beirut, and Mount Lebanon. The emergency response also supports municipalities through targeted initiatives that strengthen local service delivery and address urgent community needs. OVERVIEW INJAZ Lebanon is seeking to recruit four (4) qualified and experienced Psychosocial Support (PSS) Trainers/Facilitators to deliver structured psychosocial support sessions for children aged 1015 years residing in collective shelters across North Lebanon, Beirut, and Mount Lebanon. The assignment is part of the MAKKEN 2 Emergency Response Component, which aims to strengthen childrens emotional well-being, resilience, and positive social interaction by providing safe and supportive learning environments within displacement settings. The selected trainers/facilitators will design and facilitate age-appropriate, context-sensitive, and child-centered psychosocial support sessions that help children strengthen coping mechanisms, express emotions in a safe manner, build positive relationships, and enhance their overall well-being. Sessions should incorporate interactive methodologies such as games, storytelling, creative expression, movement-based activities, group discussions, and other participatory approaches that encourage engagement, resilience, and learning. Trainers are expected to foster safe, inclusive, and protective environments while working closely with the INJAZ project team to ensure high-quality implementation and adherence to child safeguarding principles throughout the assignment. SCOPE OF WORK The assignment will be implemented by four (4) Psychosocial Support (PSS) Trainers/Facilitators. Each trainer will be assigned up to five (5) training groups (classes), taking into consideration the geographical proximity of the shelters to ensure efficient implementation. Each assigned group consists of up to four (4) sessions, with each session lasting two (2) hours, for a total of 8 training hours per group. Each trainer may therefore facilitate up to 20 sessions (40 training hours) during the assignment. The selected trainers/facilitators will be responsible for: Preparing and facilitating structured Psychosocial Support (PSS) sessions for children aged 1015 years residing in collective shelters across North Lebanon, Beirut, and Mount Lebanon. Delivering four (4) sessions for each assigned training group according to the agreed implementation schedule. Designing and adapting child-friendly, age-appropriate, and participatory activities that promote emotional well-being, resilience, positive coping strategies, and social connectedness. Using interactive methodologies such as games, storytelling, arts-based activities, movement exercises, group discussions, and creative expression to encourage active participation. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelors degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Education, Special Education, Mental Health, Public Health, or another relevant field. A Masters degree is an asset. Proven experience in delivering Psychosocial Support (PSS) sessions, life skills training, child protection, or mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS) activities for children and adolescents. Experience working with children (1015 years old), particularly in humanitarian, emergency, displacement, or community-based settings. Demonstrated experience facilitating participatory, child-friendly, and interactive sessions, including games, storytelling, arts-based activities, movement exercises, and group discussions.
