The oil shall be designed for extended service intervals. The oil shall be blended from virgin base stock and containing suitable additives. Samples taken from any portion of the supply shall be free from impurities. No reclaimed oils are to be used. To ensure OEM acceptance, the oil shall be the product of a recognized and established manufacturer. The product shall have OEM approval for vehicles and plant in use by the City of Cape Town. The product shall be listed as approved on the API web site. The product shall meet or exceed the performance specification level Allison TES 295 or equivalent; GUIDELINE: Wherever reference is made to any particular Trade Mark, Name, Patent, Design, Type, Specific Origin or Producer, such reference shall be deemed to be accompanied by the words "or equivalent". CLAUSE - 2.14.1 & 2.15 Provide, on request by the CCT, any other material that has a bearing on the quotation offer, the suppliers commercial position (including joint venture agreements), preferencing arrangements, or samples of materials considered necessary by the CCT for the purpose of the evaluation of the quotation. If the Specifications require the supplier to provide samples/technical data sheets, these shall be provided strictly in accordance with the instructions set out in the Specification.
