The Luther Memorials Foundation In Saxony-Anhalt Is Renovating The Luther House In The Lutheran City Of Wittenberg. The Project Is Financed By The Federal Government Commissioner For Culture And Media (Bkm) With Federal Funding As Well As By The State Chancellery And The Ministry Of Culture Of The State Of Saxony-Anhalt. The Renovation Measure Is Aimed At Energy-Saving Renovation And Improving Tourist Access. The Wittenberg Luther House Is Home To The Worlds Largest Museum Of The History Of The Reformation With Extensive Collections Of Pictures, Writings And Exhibits From The Reformation Period As Well As Evidence Of The History Of Reception Of Martin Luther And The Reformation. In Connection With The Energy-Saving Renovation And Tourism Development, The Permanent Exhibition Will Be Redesigned And The Exhibition Rooms Will Be Redesigned. This Includes The Entrance Area For Visitors To The Luther House. This Entrance Area Is The “Competition Area”. For The Entrance Area, The Luther Memorial Foundation In Saxony-Anhalt, As The Client, Is Organizing A Competition For Art In Architecture. The Purpose Of The Art In Architecture Competition Is To Fairly Find The Best Solution For A Contemporary Artistic Project In The Entrance Hall Of The Newly Designed Lutherhaus Museum. According To The Construction Schedule, The Implementation Of The Artistic Project In The Luther House Can Take Place In The 2Nd Quarter Of 2027 And Should Be Completed By June 30, 2027. The Competition Follows The Guidelines Of The Federal Ministry Of Housing, Urban Development And Construction.
