In Order To Create Better Conditions And Expanded Offerings For The Zoos Guests In The Future, It Is Necessary To Build A Contemporary And Functional Reception Building That Can, Among Other Things, Handle The Corresponding Capacities. The Eberswalde Zoo Is Visited By Around 300 People Per Day In The Colder Seasons And Up To 3,500 People Per Day During The Holiday And Summer Periods, Depending On The Season. The Planned Entrance Or Reception Building Is To Be Built In The Area Of ​​The Existing Building, Which Is No Longer Up-To-Date And, Above All, Far Too Small. It Is Intended To Meet The Needs Of All Visitors, Provide Modern Working Conditions For The Zoos Employees And Meet The City Of Eberswaldes Demands For A Sustainable Planning Concept Using Wooden Construction. According To The Current Status, The Planning Will Last Until 2028 In Two Stages, With The First Planning Stage Comprising Service Phases 2-4 (According To Hoai) And Should Be Completed In Mid-2027. The Realization Of The Project (Construction) Is Scheduled To Begin In 2028 And Is Expected To Be Completed With The Handover Of The Building To Mark The Zoos 100Th Anniversary In September 2029
