The West Combined Heat And Power Plant (Hkw West) Is The Largest Generation Site Of Mainova Aktiengesellschaft And Represents The Central Generation Plant Of The City Center District Heating Network. At The Hkw West Site, Several Plants For Generating Electricity, Steam And District Heating Are Operated. The Subject Of The Contractual Services Is The Hkr Plant At The Hkw West Location. The System Processes Returning District Heating Condensate As Well As Machine Condensate And Has Been In Operation Since 1967. Since Then, The System Has Been Regularly Maintained And Repaired. The Project Pursues The Goal Of Modernizing The Entire System, The Conceptual Development Of Which Is Based On The Results Of The Feasibility Study From 2021 And The Completed Preliminary Planning From 2022. Also In This Project Is The Construction Of A New Full Desalination Plant To Replace The Existing Deionate Production. Mainova Ag Operates A 2-Line Full Desalination Plant At Hkw-West In The Existing Building 0402F (“Ve3 Plant”) With A Processing Capacity Of 80 M³/H. The Demineralised Water Is Required To Replenish The District Heating System, The Factory Water Circuit And The Water-Steam Cycle. The Ve3 System Was Built In 1980 By Mannesmann Anlagenbau And Is Used To Prepare Drinking Water Into Boiler Feed Water In Accordance With Vgb-M 407 G. For The Hkr, Due To The Existing Preliminary Planning, It Should Start In Phase 3 According To Hoai And For The Ve3, Due To The Lack Of Preliminary Planning, It Must Start In Phase 2 Based On The Hoai.
