Work Detail
Construction Project Management Services – Prowst - Europe-Wide Awarding Of Project Management Services For The Renovation, Modernization And Structural Expansion Of The. Württemberg State Theater Stuttgart At The Oberer Schlossgarten Location. The State Of Baden-Württemberg And The State Capital Stuttgart (Lhs) Operate And Finance The Württembergische Staatstheater Stuttgart (Wst), The Largest Three-Part Theater In The World And The Largest Cultural Institution In The City And State. The Stuttgart State Opera Is One Of The Most Important European Opera Houses, And The Stuttgart Ballet Is One Of The Most Internationally Renowned Ballet Ensembles. With Around 900 Performances And Events Every Year, The Württembergische Staatstheater Stuttgart Reach An Average Audience Of Around 450,000 Visitors Over Several Seasons. The State Theaters Are Currently Reporting Record Demand Across All Divisions, Which Significantly Exceeds The Pre-Corona Numbers. This Demand Has Built Up Over Several Seasons; It Can Therefore Be Assumed That This Is A Stable Phenomenon In The Medium Term. The Building Complex Of The Württembergische Staatstheater Stuttgart (Wst) At The Oberer Schlossgarten Location, Consisting Of The Listed Opera House, The Listed Administration Building And The Backdrop Building, Urgently Needs To Be Renovated, Modernized And Expanded. The Working Conditions Of The Approximately 1,450 Employees No Longer Meet Todays Standards And Regulations. In Addition, The Restrictions Caused By Outdated Technology And The Lack Of Space And Functions Lead To Significant Restrictions In Rehearsals And Performances. Only The Theater, Which Has Already Been Partially Modernized And Is Also Part Of The Building Ensemble, Is Not Affected By The Upcoming Measure. The Plan Is To Implement A Pioneering Urban Development And Architectural Concept For The Expansion Of The Württemberg State Theater (Wst) In Stuttgart. The State Theater Building Ensemble Should Be An Open, Identity-Creating Place Without Restricting The Functionality Of The Theater Operation - A House Without Backs That Is Characterized By Address Formation And Openness On All Sides. The Concept Is Intended To Make A Positive Contribution To Stuttgarts Cultural Mile And To The Quality Of Stay In The City. Integration Into The Surrounding Area - Especially In The Context Of The B14 Federal Highway - Should Take Place Through The Reorganization And Design Enhancement Of The Public Space. The Project Aims To Create A New Cultural Ensemble In The Heart Of The City That Integrates Monument Protection, Urban Development And Public Space Design In A Sustainable Overall Concept. An Urban Planning Goal Should Be The Opening And Permeability Of The Opera House In A Figurative Sense In Order To Make The Building Ensemble Tangible As An Open Place For The Entire Urban Society. The Focus Of The Renovation Measure Is To Improve The Artistic And Operational Working Conditions For The Approximately 1,450 Employees, The Functionality Of The Stage In The Opera House And All Surrounding Functional Rooms In The Context, As Well As The
