Tenders are invited for Facilitators to Conduct Interactive Workshops for Male Youth and Community Leaders on Positive Masculinities and Gbv Prevention RDFL intends to recruit two facilitators under this assignment, one to facilitate the workshop in Beirut & Mount Lebanon (BML) and one to facilitate the workshop in Bekaa. 2. Purpose of the Assignment To recruit two qualified facilitators to design and facilitate one interactive workshop each, engaging male youth and community leaders in critical discussions on gender equality, positive masculinities, healthy relationships, non-violent behaviors, and their role in preventing GBV within their communities. Each facilitator is expected to develop and deliver a participatory one-day workshop that addresses, at a minimum, the following themes: Gender equality and gender norms. Understanding GBV and its root causes. Positive masculinities and healthy relationships. The role of men and community leaders in promoting gender-equitable norms and preventing GBV. The facilitation approach must strictly employ Do No Harm priciples and conflict-sensitive communication. The facilitator must be equipped to constructively manage resistance, defensive reactions, or backlash from participants, ensuring that discussions actively deconstruct harmful norms without polarizing the group or compromising the safety of the projects broader GBV interventions. Scope of Work Each selected facilitator will be responsible for: Preparing a one-day interactive workshop agenda and presentation in coordination with RDFL. Facilitating a one-day workshop in the assigned implementation area (either Beirut & Mount Lebanon or Bekaa) for approximately 20 male youth and community leaders. Using participatory and interactive facilitation methods that encourage discussion and reflection. Conducting the agreed pre- and post-assessment. Submitting a brief workshop report summarizing the sessions, participant engagement, key outcomes, and recommendations. Workshop Objectives By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to: Demonstrate a better understanding of gender equality and the root causes of gender-based violence. Reflect on harmful gender norms and stereotypes and their impact on women, girls, and communities. Recognize the importance of positive masculinities and mens role in preventing GBV. Identify practical actions they can take to promote respectful relationships and support gender equality within their communities. Deliverables Each facilitator will submit a comprehensive Workshop Documentation Package consisting of: Deliverable 1: Pre-workshop Toolkit: A contextualized one-day agenda, interactive facilitation handbook/power point presentation, and standardized pre-assessment tools tailored to the specific target region (BML or Bekaa) Deliverable 2: Operational Data & Metrics: Signed, de-identified participant attendance sheets and a clean data analysis table summarizing the raw pre-and-post assessment capacity shifts. Deliverable 3: Final Workshop & Analytical Report: A detailed final report documenting the implementation process, an analysis of the pre-post-assessment outcomes, key observations on participant dynamics/resistance points and actionable recommendations for future community mobilization efforts. 8. Required Qualifications Education Bachelors degree in: Psychology, Social Work, Sociology, Gender Studies, Education, Human Rights, Law, or another relevant field. A masters degree is an asset. Professional Experience Minimum 5 years of experience in: GBV programming Gender equality Engaging men and boys Community mobilization Facilitation of participatory workshops Experience with UN agencies or international NGOs is an asset. Technical Competencies Demonstrated knowledge of: Positive masculinities Gender-transformative approaches Survivor-centered approach GBV guiding principles Adult learning methodologies Participatory facilitation techniques Proven experience in deploying advanced experiential learning methods (e.g. theater-based exercises, role playing, and privilege mapping activities) specifically designed to engage male cohorts on sensitive topics, steering completely clear of rigid, lecture-style instruction. Experience working with diverse communities, including refugees and marginalized populations, is preferred. Languages Closing Date: Friday, 31.
