Contractors All-Risk Insurance Services – Rfb Construction/Assembly Insurance Reuter Solid Fuel Chp Bew Berlin Energy And Heat. As Bew Berliner Energie Undwärme, We Have Been 100% Owned By The State Of Berlin Since May 2, 2024. We Supply Around 700,000 Apartments And Around 8,000 Other Buildings In The Capital With Reliable And Convenient District Heating. We Also Offer Locally Generated District Cooling As Well As Individual, Decentralized Energy Solutions. The “Reuter Solid Fuel Chp” Project Includes The Planning And Construction Of A Plant For The Energetic Use Of Waste Wood And Biomass At The Reuter West Location. The Aim Is To Provide District Heating And Electricity As Part Of Combined Heat And Power (Chp). The System Will Be Designed For A Maximum Combustion Heat Output Of 110 Mw. In Bypass Operation Of The Steam Turbine, A District Heating Output Of Up To 90 Mw Is Planned. In Addition, A Flue Gas Condensation System And A Heat Pump Are Part Of The System Concept To Increase Energy Efficiency. The Electrical Output Of The System Depends On The Final Process Engineering Design As Well As The District Heating Extraction And Is Currently Forecast To Be Around 20 Mw. The System Is Designed For The Use Of Different Types Of Biomass In Order To Enable Flexible And Needs-Based Operation. The Main Fuels Are Waste Wood And Natural Biomass, In Particular Landscape Management Material, Agricultural Wood And Income From Short-Rotation Plantations. In Addition To The Actual Chp System, The Scope Of The Project Also Includes Retrofitting And Replacement Measures On Existing Infrastructure Facilities, In Particular On The Ship Unloader And The Raw Water Pump House. In Addition, The Project Includes The Planning And Construction Of A Central Water Treatment Plant, Including District Heating Water Treatment And Partial Electricity Desalination. The Total Investment Is Currently Expected To Amount To Around Eur 400 Million (Gross).
