The Task In Question Is To Carry Out Renovation Works On The Existing Monument To The Victims Of The Concentration Camp, Located At The Intersection Of Ul. Grunwaldzka From Ul. Chopin In Działdowo Province. Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship. Due To The Proximity Of The Buildings Of The Former Extermination Camp And Military Barracks, This Place Is A Special Symbol. The Monument Commemorates The Victims Of The Kl Soldau Concentration Camp. It Is A Monumental Form Of Memory, Carrying A Symbol Of Suffering, Death And The Enormous Heroism Of The Victims Imprisoned And Brutally Murdered There. The Monument Has The Form Of An Abstract Sculpture Depicting A Human Figure In An Unnatural Pose Lifting Barbed Wire Above His Head, Symbolizing The Kl Soldau Camp In Działdowo. The Inscription On The Plaque Reads: Several Tens Of Thousands Of Polish Prisoners Passed Through The Concentration Camp In Działdowo In The Years 1939-1944, Thousands Of Them Suffered Martyrs Death At The Hands Of Fascist Thugs. The Consequence Of The Planned Activities Will Be The Revaluation Of The National Memory Site, Including A Complex Of Activities Aimed At Restoring The Historical Value And Functionality Of Spaces Important For The Memory And Identity Of The Nation. This Process Involves Restoring Their Original Appearance While Adapting Them To Contemporary Needs And Requirements So That They Become Living And Symbolic Educational Centers. Thanks To The Actions Taken, The Monument Dedicated To The Victims Of The Concentration Camp, Aimed At Restoring Its Original Appearance, Has A Chance To Become A Symbolic, Renovated Place Of National Memory.
