Jul 2026 Intervention Sector(s): Training & Capacity Building Remuneration range: > 6000 (USD) Duration of Contract: 3 Months Context & Background About the Program Generation of Innovation Leaders (GIL) is a UNICEF initiative designed to address youth unemployment in Lebanon by increasing young peoples access to the knowledge economy and innovation-driven opportunities. The program is implemented by UNICEF in partnership with Berytech and aims to equip youth with the technical, entrepreneurial, and digital skills needed to improve their employability and foster innovation. About Berytech Berytech is a leading organization in Lebanons entrepreneurial ecosystem, dedicated to fostering innovation, entrepreneurship, and sustainable economic growth. Through incubation, business development support, mentorship, access to funding, networking opportunities, and innovation infrastructure, Berytech enables entrepreneurs and startups to launch, grow, and scale their businesses. Under the GIL program, Berytech works to increase access for Lebanese and non-Lebanese youth aged 1725 to technical and vocational training, innovation-focused learning, and entrepreneurship programs that strengthen professional readiness, employability, and pathways to self-employment. About the GIL Innovation Labs The GIL Innovation Lab Network is a nationwide network of 12 innovation labs established under the Generation of Innovation Leaders program and strategically located across Lebanon. The network provides youth with an integrated learning experience focused on three core pillars: Design Thinking and Human-Centered Innovation Entrepreneurship and Business Development Digital Fabrication and Emerging Technologies Beyond technical skills, the labs promote creativity, problem-solving, collaboration, and civic engagement. By empowering young people to develop innovative solutions to local challenges, the program contributes to social cohesion, community engagement, and economic resilience while nurturing the next generation of innovators and entrepreneurs. About GIL Startups The GIL Entrepreneurship Incubation Program builds upon the training delivered through the GIL Innovation Labs by supporting youth-led teams in transforming innovative ideas into viable ventures. Teams that successfully validate their concepts and develop functional prototypes receive incubation support to refine their business models, strengthen their entrepreneurial capabilities, and prepare for market entry. Throughout the incubation journey, participants benefit from tailored mentorship, technical guidance, networking opportunities, and connections to relevant ecosystem actors and funding opportunities to accelerate the growth of their startups. About the GIL Advanced Incubation Program 2026 The Advanced Incubation Program is a specialized business support program designed by Berytech to identify and support the most promising startups emerging from the GIL Entrepreneurship Incubation Program. The program targets startups that have demonstrated strong market potential through validated business models and functional Minimum Viable Products (MVPs). Its objective is to help these startups transition from early-stage validation to scalable businesses while preparing them for investment readiness and acceleration programs. Throughout the program, selected startups receive tailored business advisory services, one-on-one mentorship, specialized technical support, advanced capacity-building workshops, access to fabrication facilities and equipment, market linkages, strategic networking opportunities, and exposure to potential investors and partners. The program equips founders with the tools, resources, and expertise required to achieve sustainable growth and successfully scale their ventures. Scope of work Trainers will be responsible for assessing startups needs and delivering tailored capacity-building sessions across relevant areas, including product and business development, entrepreneurship, business model validation, marketing and branding, sales strategy, financial management, investment readiness, product development, digital skills, technology, and other specialized fields based on startup requirements. They will develop and provide training materials, practical tools, tutorials, and learning resources to support startups throughout the program. Candidates should have proven expertise in their respective fields, experience supporting startups, and knowledge of the latest tools, trends, and best practices needed to enhance startup performance, growth, and market readiness. Responsibilities Coordinate with the Program Lead and other trainers to identify startups training needs and schedule relevant sessions. Develop tailored training materials and deliver capacity-building sessions covering areas such as: Branding Business model development Digital presence and e-commerce Export potential and readiness Legal registration Logistics Marketing Pitching Pricing and financial strategy Design and implement effective training programs through workshops, seminars, and individual coaching sessions when needed. Monitor startups progress, evaluate performance, and assess learning outcomes to ensure effective application of the acquired knowledge. Requirements Bachelors degree in business administration, Entrepreneurship, Marketing, Finance, Engineering, Agriculture, or a related field relevant to startup development, business support, or the trainers area of expertise. A masters degree in a relevant field is considered an added advantage. Proven experience providing technical assistance, training, coaching, or mentorship services to startups, incubators, accelerators, or entrepreneurship support programs. Practical experience working with startups and SMEs in areas such as business development, market validation, branding, marketing, finance, investment readiness, digital transformation, or related fields. Strong knowledge and understanding of the entrepreneurship and innovation ecosystem in Lebanon. Excellent project management, organizational, and coordination skills. Strong computer literacy and ability to use relevant digital tools and platforms. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively deliver training and communicate complex concepts. Ability to work collaboratively with program teams and startups while demonstrating initiative and leadership when required.
