Jul 2026 Intervention Sector(s): Development, Social & Cultural Development ABOUT INJAZ LEBANON INJAZ Lebanon is a non-profit organization, an affiliate of Junior Achievement (JA) Worldwide, with a mission to equip youth with the skills and mindset they need to become entrepreneurs and business leaders stimulating their communities. It is also a member of INJAZ Al-Arab, a regional network of 14 countries across the MENA region. INJAZ Lebanon delivers programs in partnership with the business sector focusing on entrepreneurship, work readiness, and financial literacy. Overview INJAZ Lebanon seeks to recruit four (4) qualified and experienced Life Skills Trainers to design and deliver life skills training sessions for youth aged 15 years and above residing in collective shelters across North Lebanon, Beirut, and Mount Lebanon. This assignment is implemented under the MAKKEN 2 Emergency Response Component, which aims to enhance the resilience, psychosocial well-being, and social inclusion of internally displaced youth by equipping them with essential life skills that strengthen their ability to cope with challenges, make informed decisions, and actively engage in their communities. The selected trainers will be responsible for designing and facilitating interactive, participatory, age-appropriate, and context-sensitive training sessions covering, but not limited to, communication, teamwork, problem-solving, emotional intelligence, leadership, decision-making, conflict resolution, stress management, self-confidence, and future planning. Trainers are expected to foster safe, inclusive, and learner-centered environments that encourage active participation and mutual respect. They will work closely with the INJAZ Lebanon project team to ensure the effective, timely, and high-quality implementation of the training activities, in line with project objectives, approved methodologies, and donor requirements. ABOUT THE PROJECT MAKKEN 2 is a community-driven program implemented under the Peaceful Coexistence in Refugees Hosting Communities in Lebanon (PCL) framework. Building on the achievements of previous phases, the project promotes sustainable local development by strengthening environmental practices, advancing circular economy approaches, and empowering women and youth as key drivers of social cohesion and community resilience. Through participatory planning and collaboration with municipalities, working groups, and local facilitators, MAKKEN 2 supports communities in revisiting, enhancing, and scaling previously identified initiatives, ensuring they are sustainable, locally owned, and responsive to evolving community needs. In response to the recent humanitarian situation in Lebanon, MAKKEN 2 has been expanded to include an emergency response component. This component provides psychosocial support, recreational and educational activities for children and youth, capacity building for local responders, and community-based interventions in collective shelters and host communities across North Lebanon, Beirut, and Mount Lebanon. The emergency response also supports municipalities through targeted initiatives that strengthen local service delivery and address urgent community needs. MAKKEN 2 is funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and implemented by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), in partnership with the Ministry of Social Affairs (MoSA), and in cooperation with INJAZ Lebanon and partner municipalities across North Lebanon, Beirut, and Mount Lebanon. SCOPE OF WORK The assignment will be implemented by up to four (4) Life Skills Trainers. Each trainer will be assigned up to five (5) training groups (classes), taking into consideration the geographical proximity of the collective shelters to ensure efficient planning, coordination, and implementation. Each assigned training group will receive four (4) training sessions, with each session lasting two (2) hours, for a total of eight (8) training hours per group. Accordingly, each trainer may be required to deliver up to twenty (20) training sessions, equivalent to forty (40) training hours, over the duration of the assignment. Under the direct supervision of the INJAZ Lebanon project team, the selected trainers will be responsible for the following: Design, prepare, and deliver life skills training sessions using learner-centered, interactive, and participatory training methodologies. Deliver all assigned training sessions in accordance with the approved implementation schedule, training curriculum, and quality standards established by INJAZ Lebanon. Adapt training methodologies and facilitation techniques to meet the needs, age group, and context of youth residing in collective shelters. Foster a safe, inclusive, respectful, and supportive learning environment that promotes active participation, engagement, and equal opportunities for all participants. Coordinate closely with INJAZ Lebanon staff, volunteers, and designated shelter focal points to ensure the effective organization and smooth implementation of training activities. Accurately maintain participant attendance records and submit all required reports, documentation, and supporting materials within the agreed timelines. Immediately report any safeguarding, protection, or security concerns to the designated INJAZ Lebanon focal point in accordance with organizational procedures. Comply at all times with INJAZ Lebanons safeguarding, child protection, prevention of sexual exploitation and abuse (PSEA), Code of Conduct, and all applicable organizational policies and procedures throughout the assignment. DELIVERABLES The selected Life Skills Trainers will be responsible for the successful completion and submission of the following deliverables: Delivery of Life Skills Training Sessions Facilitation of structured, interactive, and participatory training sessions, including group discussions, practical exercises, and learning activities, in accordance with the approved training plan and schedule. Ensuring active participant engagement and creating an inclusive learning environment throughout all sessions. Completion of Assigned Training Activities Successful implementation and completion of all assigned training sessions within the designated collective shelters and geographical areas, in coordination with the INJAZ Lebanon project team. Final Training Report Submission of a comprehensive final training report covering: Summary and overview of delivered training sessions. Participant attendance, engagement, and feedback. Results of pre- and post-training assessments, where applicable. Key challenges encountered during implementation and recommendations for future improvement. Any relevant observations or lessons learned from the training activities. QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum 3 years of proven experience in designing and delivering training sessions, workshops, or capacity-building activities. Equivalent professional experience in training, facilitation, youth development, or community engagement may be considered. Demonstrated experience in facilitating life skills, soft skills, personal development, employability skills, or youth empowerment programs. Experience working with NGOs, INGOs, or donor-funded projects is an asset. Language Requirements Fluency in Arabic is required. Good command of English is an asset, particularly for reporting and communication with the project team. Personal Competencies Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong facilitation and presentation abilities. Patience, empathy, and cultural sensitivity. Ability to manage diverse groups and encourage participation. Flexibility and ability to work in different locations. Experience and approach in working with youth, internally displaced persons (IDPs), and communities affected by crisis situations. Any relevant recommendations or considerations to ensure effective implementation of the training sessions. 3. Financial Proposal The financial proposal should include: Proposed hourly training rate, inclusive of all related costs (including preparation time, transportation, communication, and any other applicable expenses). Total estimated cost for the completion of the assigned training sessions. 4. Availability Statement Confirmation of availability to deliver the assigned training sessions within the project implementation timeline. Indication of preferred geographical areas/locations where the trainer is available to provide the services.
