Engineering Design Services For Mechanical And Electrical Installations For Buildings – Fritz Haber Institute Of The Max Planck Society, Berlin Conversion And Expansion Of Building T: Hkls. The Fritz Haber Institute (Fhi) Was Founded In 1911 As The Kaiser Wilhelm Institute For Physical Chemistry And Electrochemistry In Berlin-Dahlem And Incorporated Into The Mpg In 1953. The Focus Of Research Activities Is The Fundamental Understanding Of Elementary Processes In Physical Chemistry And Thus The Connection Between Structure, Reactivity And Dynamics On Surfaces, Interfaces, Nanostructures, Molecules And Clusters. There Is Currently A Significant Deficit Of Highly Installed, Wet Chemical Laboratory Space With A Structure Suitable For Robotized Operation. To Meet Demand, Building T Is To Be Converted And Expanded Into A Laboratory Building. The Office Cubes And The Central Hall Located On The North Side Of The Hexagonal Building Are To Be Partially Demolished And The Technical Equipment Is To Be Completely Dismantled. The Extension Is To Be “Slided” Into The Existing Building Into The Freed-Up Space Between The Two Partially Demolished Cubes. In This New Sub-Building, All Highly Installed Rooms, Such As Laboratories And Hazardous Materials Storage, As Well As The Majority Of The Central Technology And Technical Access Are To Be Accommodated On Three Floors, Including A Basement. The “Core” Of The New Area Is The Ai-Controlled Automated Laboratory That Will Be Built On The Ground Floor. Wet Chemistry Laboratories With Evaluation Stations Are To Be Built On The Floor Above, Which Can Be Divided Into Several Laboratory Rooms. The Future Building T Is To Have A Nuf Of Approx. 1,400 M² (Approx. 3,370 M² Gfa), With The Planned Usage Areas Being Distributed As Follows: - 80 M² Chemical Warehouse, Approx. 440 M² Of Robot-Operated Ai-Supported Open-Plan Chemical Laboratory, Approx M² Of Storage Space. A Space Requirement Of Approx. 100 M² Was Determined For The Nuf 7 And Approx. 500 M² For The Technical Areas. The Estimated Total Construction Costs (Kg 200 To 700) For The Conversion And Extension Amount To Approx. €22,800,000 Net. Cost Calculations To Be Made During The Planning Phase Must Be Determined Separately According To The Costs For The Extension And The Conversion/Renovation Of The Existing Building And Brought Together In An Overall Statement. Kg 410 - Sewage: The Sewer (Public Sewer) Is Located On Van`T-Hoff-Straße And Is Introduced Into Part T Of The Building To Be Renovated. The Relocation Or Creation Of An Additional Outlet For The Extension Building Must Be Examined And Is Part Of The Measure. The Costs (Kg 540) Are Included In Kg 410. A Separate Laboratory Wastewater Network Must Be Installed In The Building. It Is Assumed That The Public Utilitys Discharge Limits Can Be Met Without Neutralization. - Rainwater: Rainwater Must Not Be Discharged And Must Be Drained Away On Site. Rain Retention In Outdoor Areas Is Not Part Of This Plan
