Jul 2026 Intervention Sector(s): Relief Services Remuneration range: < 1000 (USD) Duration of Contract: Referred to the TOR Terms of Reference (ToR) Position: Consultant MHPSS Storytelling and Photography Location: Lebanon project/location to be confirmed, depending on access, feasibility and approvals Duration: August September 2026 Deadline for Deliverables: September 15, 2026 Background and Context Dorcas is seeking a consultant/team to support the production of written and visual storytelling content for the Dorcas Winter Campaign 2026, under the theme of peace. The assignment will focus on MHPSS/PFA or a related project in Lebanon. The aim is to show how support can help people experience peace in practical and human ways, such as being listened to, accessing support, feeling safer, recovering after difficult experiences, or finding a renewed sense of calm and hope. The final content will be used for a campaign booklet, online and offline advertising, donor communication, website content, social media and possible exhibition use in the Netherlands. High-quality photography is central to this assignment, as some photos may be printed at large scale. 1. Objectives of the Assignment - Produce human-centred written and visual content that illustrates how MHPSS/PFA or related support contributes to a sense of peace in peoples lives.- Develop a minimum of two longer impact stories based on interviews with project participants.- Develop at least two short interviews or quotes that describe how the project brings peace into peoples daily experiences.- Capture high-quality professional photography suitable for campaign, booklet, print and possible exhibition use.- Ensure all content is produced in a dignified, consent-based and protection-sensitive manner. 2. Scope of Work Long Impact Stories - Conduct a minimum of two longer interviews with project participants.- Focus on the individuals situations and how MHPSS/PFA or related support contributes to a sense of peace, calm, safety, recovery or hope in their lives.- Develop each story in a human-centred way, using the participants own words as much as possible while ensuring dignity, confidentiality and informed consent.- Each longer story should be approximately 300700 words. Short Interviews / Quotes - Conduct at least two short interviews or collect short quotes from project participants.- The short stories or quotes should describe a concrete way the project brings peace into daily life.- Each short interview or quote should be approximately 150300 words. Photography - Capture professional, high-quality photos to accompany the stories and campaign materials.- Photos should include portraits, candid moments, wide shots, close-ups, expressive moments, project context and relevant environmental images.- Photos should be suitable for booklet, online/offline advertising and possible exhibition use.- Where possible, the main subject should be positioned to the left or right side of the frame to allow space for text placement and booklet layout/fold lines.- Capture additional photos of aid workers, Dorcas/Tabitha staff and relevant project context where useful.- Spontaneous or unplanned moments that add depth to the narrative are encouraged, while respecting consent and safeguarding requirements. 3. Collaboration and Reporting Lines - The consultant/team will coordinate closely with Tabitha/Dorcas communication and programme staff.- The consultant/team will coordinate with project/community centre teams for participant identification, scheduling, consent and field arrangements.- The consultant/team should provide updates during the assignment and remain available for reasonable follow-up or clarification during content review. 4. Duration of the Assignment The assignment is expected to take place between August and September 2026. Field interviews and photography will be scheduled in coordination with the project team and according to access, safety, staff availability and participant availability. Deliverables Written Content - A minimum of two longer impact stories of approximately 300700 words each.- At least two short interviews or quotes of approximately 150300 words each.- All written content should be delivered in English.- English translation of any interviews conducted in Arabic.- Interview notes or supporting details where relevant. Photography - Minimum 30 high-quality photos across the assignment.- Photos should include portraits and candid photos of interviewed individuals, in the visual style of a campaign booklet: wide shots, close-ups, expressive moments and strong contextual images.- Additional photos of aid workers, Dorcas/Tabitha staff and relevant project context where useful.- Each photo should be clearly labelled with name/code, date, location and short description/context.- Photos should be delivered in JPEG and RAW format.- Signed consent forms should be submitted for all individuals featured. 7. Reporting The consultant/team will report to the designated Tabitha/Dorcas focal point and will work closely with the project/programme team to ensure that the assignment meets the required storytelling, quality, consent, protection and safeguarding standards. 8. Budget The available budget for this assignment is USD 800. Applicants should submit a financial offer/quotation covering all expected costs, including interviews, writing, photography, transportation, equipment use, translation and any other related costs.
