Tenders are invited for Agricultural Engineer / Climate-Smart Agriculture Consultant (Bekaa Governorate). Closing Date: Monday, 27. Jul 2026 Intervention Sector(s): Agriculture Remuneration range: > 6000 (USD) Duration of Contract: July 2026 April 2027 Beit el Baraka is seeking an experienced Agricultural Engineer / Climate-Smart Agriculture Consultant to provide technical support for a climate-smart agriculture project aimed at strengthening the resilience and productivity of smallholder farmers in the Bekaa. The consultant will lead technical assessments of farmers, design and supervise the establishment of a Climate-Smart Demonstration Plot, support procurement processes, oversee the installation of agricultural technologies (including smart irrigation, fertigation, greenhouse improvements, solar-powered irrigation, and water management systems), and provide training and coaching to farmers on sustainable agricultural practices. The consultant will also monitor project activities, ensure quality standards, and prepare technical reports and recommendations throughout the implementation period. The assignment will be delivered on an intermittent basis from July 2026 to April 2027, based on agreed deliverables and the approved workplan. Candidates should have a degree in Agricultural Engineering, at least five years of relevant experience in climate-smart agriculture and rural livelihoods projects, proven expertise in irrigation systems, greenhouse production, IPM, farmer capacity building, and experience working with NGOs or donor-funded programs.
