As A High-Performance Center For Supramaximal Care, The Hannover Medical School (Mhh) Operates A Highly Frequented Gastroenterological Endoscopy. The Range Of Tasks There Covers The Entire Spectrum Of Diagnostic And Interventional Endoscopy At The Highest International Level. These Include, Among Others, Highly Complex Controlled Procedures Such As Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (Ercp), Cholangioscopy, Endoscopic Ultrasound (Eus) And Complex Tissue Resections (Emr/Esd). The Following Examination Figures Are Known From 2024: Video Gastroscopy: 5,795 Video Colonoscopies: 2,336 Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (Ercp): 1,050 Endosono: 347 Total Examinations 2024: 9,528 Complete, Technically Perfect And High-Resolution Imaging Is The Fundamental Prerequisite For Patient Safety And Precise Clinical Control. In Order To Ensure This High Standard Of Care In The Long Term, Depending On The Initial Situation, Additional And/Or Replacement Purchases Of Modern Endoscopy Towers And The Associated Instruments Are Absolutely Necessary. Much Of The Endoscope Technology Currently Used In The Area Is Technically Outdated. It No Longer Meets The Current Requirements For Image Quality As Well As Modern Hygiene And Processing Standards. Replacing Legacy Systems Is Essential To Avoid Downtime And Maintain Daily Examination Operations. As Part Of The Currently Planned Tender, An Almost Complete Replacement Of The Endoscopy Equipment Park Is Required; Approximately 95% Of Existing Endoscopes Must Be Gradually Replaced With New Devices. The Operators Mandatory Logistical And Functional Requirement Is That All Endoscopes Must Be Completely Flexible And Fully Compatible Across All Examination Rooms. A Daily, Smooth Change Of Instruments Between Rooms Must Be Guaranteed. In The Inventory Structure, A Significant Portion Of The Remaining Light Sources And Video Processors Are From One Manufacturer (Olympus). The Systems Should Generally Remain In Operation.
