Electric Rotary Converters – Converter E1 Overall Award. The Hamburg-Harburg Converter Plant Was Shut Down In December 2015 And Is Now To Be Put Back Into Operation. The E1 Traction Current Converter Was Completely Dismantled And Disposed Of During The Shutdown. The 35Mw Converter E2 From The Manufacturer Elin (Built In 1996) Is Still In The Machine Hall And Will Be Completely Overhauled And Partially Renewed As Part Of The Overall Measure. In This Project, The Traction Current Converter E1 Has To Be Completely Redesigned, Manufactured And Put Into Operation. When The Machines Were Shut Down, All Auxiliary Units And Switchgear And All Peripherals Were Also Dismantled. This Must Be Redeveloped And Manufactured For Recommissioning. Most Of The Peripherals Are Already Being Planned And Prepared As Part Of The Retrofit Of The E2 Machine In Preparation For The New Construction Of The E1 Machine. This Creates Various Interfaces That Must Be Taken Into Account During The New Construction. Close Cooperation Between All Those Involved In The Project Is Essential.
