Work Detail
Access To Power And Securing A Well-Functioning Energy System In General Is A Prerequisite For A Green Transition And For Reaching The Climate Goals. Norwegian Mainland Industry Annually Uses Around 76 Twh Of Energy, Of Which Electricity Makes Up Around 45 Twh, Corresponding To Around 40 Per Cent Of Norways Power Consumption. In Addition To This, The Mining And Farming Industries Account For Significant Energy Consumption. Efficient Use Of Energy Is Central To A Cost-Effective Development Of The Energy System. Several Studies And Investigations Relating To Energy Efficiency And Utilization Of Surplus Energy Have Been Carried Out Over The Past 20 Years. Nevertheless, A Complete Survey Of The Energy Efficiency Potential In Norwegian Mainland Industry Has Not Been Carried Out Since 2009. The Aim Of This Procurement Is To Map How Much Potential Exists For Energy Efficiency In Mainland Norwegian Industry Processes, As Well As To Map The Barriers And Costs Associated With These Measures. The Assignment Includes An Updated Survey Of Energy Use And The Energy Efficiency Potential In Norwegian Mainland Industry, With The Aim Of Establishing A Robust And Up-To-Date Knowledge Base For Further Policy Development And Prioritization Of Measures. The Mapping Shall Include Businesses Within Nace Codes 03.2, 05, 07-33 And Be Representative Of Norwegian Mainland Industry As A Whole. The Supplier Must Carry Out An Extensive Data Collection Based On Interviews And Surveys Aimed At A Sufficiently Large Selection Of Businesses Within Relevant Industries. The Potential Assessments Must Mainly Be Based On Newly Collected Data, And Not On Results From Previous Studies. See The Tender Documents For A Detailed Description Of The Assignment.
