St. Andrew’S Manse Is A Recognized Federal Heritage Building And Is Currently Used For Staff Housing. The Work Must Be Completed In A Manner That Protects The Heritage Character Of The Building And Avoids Irreversible Damage To Existing Building Components. The Work Includes, But Is Not Limited To, Removing Existing Cedar Shingles From The Roof And Dormer Walls; Replacing Damaged Underlayment, Flashing, And Roof Sheathing As Required; Installing New Cedar Shingles To Match The Size And Exposure Of The Existing Shingles; Installing New Galvanized Flashings At Eaves, Valleys, Windowsills, Roof Penetrations, Ridges, And Hips; And Repairing Or Replacing Damaged Wood Trims, Mouldings, And Fascia, Including Repainting Trims Located Above The Soffit Line. The Building Will Remain Occupied During The Construction Period. The Contractor Will Be Required To Coordinate The Work With Parks Canada, Protect Occupants And Adjacent Property, Maintain Safe Access, Manage Site Safety And Environmental Protection Requirements, And Complete The Work Within The Required Project Schedule.
