Construction Work – City Of Burgdorf - Renovation Of Town Hall I - Carpentry Work 2 (Interior Elements + Entrance Door). The Town Hall Of The City Of Burgdorf Is To Be Renovated And Converted Spatially, Technically And Energetically, Taking Into Account Accessibility And Fire Protection. The Town Hall Is A Listed Half-Timbered Building That Stands In The Center Of The Town Of Burgdorf. The Listed Town Hall, Newly Built On The Old Site, Was Originally Built In 1802 And Fell Victim To A Major Fire In 1809. The Town Hall Was Rebuilt In 1817/1818, Incorporating The Existing Foundations Of The Previous Building Along With The Cellar Vault. For Over A Century And A Half, The New Town Hall Was A Two-Story, Half-Timbered Building With Plastered Compartments Under A Hipped Roof, The Central Axis Of Which Protruded Like A Risalit And Ended In A Triangular Gable. Inside It Was Only Partially Used As A Municipal Building; Part Of It Was Taken Up By The Ratskeller Restaurant, Which Was Expanded To Include Hotel Rooms In 1868. It Was Not Until 1950/1955 That The Classicist Town Hall Was Expanded, Stripped Of Plaster And Given A Gable Roof - A Gable-Independent Building Was Created From The Eaves. The New Decorative Façade Facing The Market Was Built In 1955, With A Magnificent Bay Window Facing Marktstrasse. The Building Has Two Full Floors, Two Attics, A Loft And A Basement (Partial Basement). As Part Of The Extensive Renovation And Modernization Of The Town Hall Building, Carpentry Work Is Being Carried Out On The Interior And On The Entrance Door, Which Is The Subject Of This Award Procedure.
