Work Detail
Research And Development Services And Related Consultancy Services – Fe 04.0369/2026/Bgb - Temporal Development Of The Acoustic Properties Of Rolled Asphalt Surface Layers Under Traffic Load. As Part Of Noise Prevention, There Is A Legal Right To Noise Protection In Accordance With The 16Th Federal Immission Control Act. By Lowering The Trigger Values For Noise Abatement On Federal Highways, The Bmdv Emphasized That Noise Reduction Is A Central Issue In Our Society In The Area Of Environmental Protection. The Acoustic Properties Of Road Surface Layers Can Make A Significant Contribution To Environmental Protection From Road Traffic. What Is Crucial Is That The Reduction In Tire-Road Noise Is Not Only Achieved When New, But Is Still Present After Several Years Of Traffic. With The Introduction Of The Revised Guidelines For Noise Protection On Roads (Rls-19), The Acoustic Durability Of Road Surfaces Is Also Taken Into Account For The First Time, Because When Determining The Road Surface Correction According To Tp Kosd-19, Only Sections Of The Road That Have Been Under Traffic For At Least 6 Years At The Time Of The Measurement Are Taken Into Account. This Takes Into Account The Knowledge That The Acoustic Properties Of The Road Surface (Texture) Change Under The Influence Of Traffic And Weather. However, The Mechanism Of Texture Changes In Road Surface Layers Under The Influence Of Traffic And Weather Over A Defined Period Of Time Has Hardly Been Scientifically Investigated To Date. Therefore, The Research Project Fe 04.0333/2021/Brb Temporal Development Of The Acoustic Properties Of Rolled Asphalt Surface Layers Under Traffic Load Was Tendered And Awarded In 2021, In Which The Acoustic And Structural Properties Of Three Rolled Asphalt Surface Layers Sma 8 S And Sma 8 La As Well As Dsh-V5 On 15 New Construction Projects With Different Traffic Loads Were Initially Examined And Evaluated Over A Period Of Use Of Three Years. Detailed Data On Material Testing As Well As Texture And Acoustic Measurements From Annual Measurement And Investigation Programs Are Available. The Investigations That Were Started In The Research Project Fe 04.0333/2021/Brb “Temporal Development Of The Acoustic Properties Of Rolled Asphalt Surface Layers Under Traffic Load” Are Now To Be Continued For A Further 3 Years, With The Investigations To Be Carried Out On The Routes Under Consideration Being The Same In Type And Scope As Those Carried Out So Far. The Aim Of The Research Project Is To Identify The Primarily Responsible Influences That Lead To The Loss Of The Noise-Reducing Effect Of Road Surfaces Over A Period Of At Least 6 Years And To Analyze The Effects In Detail At Specific Measuring Points Over A Defined Period Of Time. Through The Fundamental Understanding Of The Mechanical Change Processes That Are Responsible For The Durability Of The Acoustic Effectiveness, The Findings Can Possibly Also Be Transferred To Other Construction Methods Not Examined Here.
