Main Street & Eastern Aveue Intersection . Scope Of Work The Municipality Of Cumberland (Municipality) Is Undertaking Intersection Improvements At Upper Main Street And Eastern Avenue In Parrsboro, Nova Scotia. The Purpose Of This Project Is To Enhance Safety, Accessibility, And Overall Functionality For All Road Users, While Addressing Localized Pavement And Curb Deficiencies Within The Existing Roadway Corridor And Improving The Overall Intersection Configuration. The Work Generally Includes Roadway Rehabilitation Through Milling And Asphalt Repaving Within The Project Limits, Along With Associated Curb Renewal And Adjustments To Improve Drainage, Alignment, And Tie-Ins To Existing Infrastructure. The Project Also Includes Modifications To The Intersection Geometry And Configuration To Support Improved Traffic Control And Vehicle Movements. Sidewalk Improvements Are Included To Enhance Pedestrian Accessibility And Connectivity, With Upgrades Designed To Align With Current Accessibility Best Practices. The Intersection Will Be Converted To An All-Way (Three-Way) Stop-Controlled Configuration As Part Of The Overall Intersection Configuration Improvements. Associated Works Include The Installation Of Regulatory And Warning Signage, Pavement Markings, And Stop Control Features Required To Support The Revised Traffic Control. Additional Scope Elements Include Minor Grading And Tie-Ins, Adjustments To Existing Features As Required To Accommodate The Proposed Design, And Reinstatement Of Affected Areas. Selected Items, Such As Signage Or Other Elements, May Be Identified As Provisional Depending On Coordination With The Municipality Or External Stakeholders.
