Request for proposals for Solutions for Marine and Coastal Resilience in the Coral Triangle As a federal enterprise, the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH supports the German Government in achieving its objectives in the field of international cooperation for sustainable development. On behalf of the German Government, GIZ currently provides advisory services to the Government of Republic Indonesia since 1975. Within the regional level GIZ has been support with the SOMACORE program, the SOMACORE supports the Coral Triangle Initiative on Coral Reefs, Fisheries and Food Security by strengthening sustainable ocean management and coastal community resilience. Implemented with technical support from GIZ, the program focuses on improving marine governance, supporting marine protected areas, and promoting ecosystem-based approaches.
