Tenders Are Invited For Determining The Occurrence Of River Mussels Using The Edna Method In The Simojoki And Hossanjoki Areas

Metsähallitus Metsätalous Oy Buys As A Comprehensive Service The Determination Of The Presence Of River Pearl Mussel (Margaritifera Margaritifera) In Stream Waters Using The Environmental Dna (Edna) Method. The Investigations Must Be Carried Out Based On Species-Specific Pcr-Based Edna Analysis (Qpcr Or Dpcr) And Target The Areas Where Stream Water Restoration Will Be Carried Out. The Procurement Is Divided Into Two Parts: Surveys Of The Lapland Area (Simojoki Watershed) And The Ostrobothnia–Kainuu Area (Hossanjoki Watershed). The Map Appendices Show The Streams Of The States Multi-Use Forests That Flow Into Simojoki (Appendix 2A Simojoki_Mhmtoy Streams) And Hossanjoki (Appendix 2B Hossanjoki_Lounajoki), From Which The Restoration Sites Will Be Selected. The Sites Will Be Confirmed As The Renovation Planning Progresses In The Summer Of 2026, No Later Than The End Of August 2026. The Service Provider Will Take The Samples After The Renovation Sites Are Confirmed During September 2026. The Final Report Of The Investigation With Attachments Must Be Delivered To The Customer No Later Than January 26, 2027.
