Jul 2026 Intervention Sector(s): Mental Health Remuneration range: > 6000 (USD) Duration of Contract: 5 months Right to Play is seeking an experienced consultant to deliver specific project deliverables related to theEnhancing Quality and Inclusive Education (EQIE) 2.0 project.The Enhancing Quality and Inclusive Education (EQIE 2.0) project, implemented in partnership with a CSOpartner, aims to support crisis-affected children, adolescents, and project staff in Palestinian refugee campsin Lebanon through integrated Psychosocial Support (PSS), Social-Emotional Learning (SEL), and LearningRecovery interventions.As part of Right To Plays Emergency Response Strategy, the project will be implemented from July toDecember 2026 in Nahr El Bared, Beddawi, and Ein El Helwe camps, using a trauma-informed and play-basedapproach to promote psychosocial well-being, resilience, and learning continuity in emergency settings.Recognizing the impact of the ongoing crisis on the mental health and well-being of frontline staff deliveringservices to children and adolescents, Right To Play seeks a Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS)Consultant to provide specialized psychosocial support services, strengthen coping mechanisms, andpromote staff well-being through individual and/or group support sessions. The Consultant reports directly to the Project Manager and the relevant Specialist and is responsible forproviding Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) services to project staff implementing EQIE 2.0activities. The Consultant will conduct psychosocial assessments, facilitate individual and/or group supportsessions, and provide appropriate recommendations and referral pathways based on identified needs. TheConsultant will ensure that all interventions are delivered using safe, confidential, trauma-informed, andculturally appropriate approaches and will provide regular updates and reports on the implementation of theconsultancy. Objectives of the ConsultancyRight To Play seeks a Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) Consultant to support project staff andfacilitators implementing EQIE 2.0 activities in Palestinian refugee camps.The consultancy will focus on: Conducting an initial assessment session with each participant to identify psychosocial concerns, copingcapacities, and required support pathways. Based on the assessment findings and in coordination with Right To Play, recommending the mostappropriate support modality (individual or group-based MHPSS support). Providing individualized MHPSS support sessions for staff requiring focused psychosocial support, withapproximately 4 sessions per participant (1 session per month), if individual support is identified as thepreferred modality. Facilitating group-based MHPSS sessions for project staff and facilitators, if group support is identified as thepreferred modality, with one session per month over a five-month period. Group-based MHPSS sessions, if selected as the preferred support modality, will be conducted in Beirut andwill bring together project staff and facilitators from different implementation areas to promote peer support,shared learning, and participation. Delivering all sessions using safe, confidential, trauma-informed, and culturally appropriate approachesaligned with MHPSS good practices and ethical standards. Recommending appropriate referral pathways for participants requiring specialized mental health orprotection services beyond the scope of the assignment. Coordinating with the project team to schedule sessions and provide progress updates while maintainingconfidentiality and protection principles. Preparing and submitting a final report summarizing sessions conducted, participants reached, key themesidentified, recommendations, and lessons learned. Responsibilities & Tasks per Assignment 1. Based on the assessment findings andthe modality agreed with RTP,facilitate either: (a) individual MHPSSsupport sessions for identifiedparticipants, or (b) group-basedMHPSS support sessions for projectstaff and facilitators.Option 1 Individual Support: Up to 45participants, with approximately 4 individualMHPSS sessions per participant. Sessions maybe conducted either in person or online, basedon participants needs and logisticalconsiderations.Option 2 Group Support: one or Two groups(one for PSS Facilitators and one for Teachers),with one group session per month over a fivemonthperiod. Group sessions will beconducted in Beirut or online based on needsand logistical considerations. Attendancerecords and brief progress updates shall besubmitted.September- December 3. Final Report Prepare and submit a final reportsummarizing the sessions conducted,participants reached, key themesidentified, challenges,recommendations, and lessonslearned.Final consultancy report. End of December 2026 Note : In case group sessions are required in Beirut, Right To Play International will be responsible for coveringthe costs of the venue rental, refreshments and coffee breaks, as well as any transportation-related expensesfor participants.As the consultant, please also include your own transportation costs in your financial proposal, as these willbe taken into consideration.CONSULTANTS PROFILE REQUIRED COMPETENCIES Sensitivity and adaptability to culture, gender, religion, nationality, and age. The consultant must be fluent in Arabic andable to communicate effectively with participants. All reports, deliverables, and official communications shallbe submitted in English.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSThe minimum qualifications and skills of the expert are:EDUCATIONAdvanced university degree (Masters degree or higher) in Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Counseling, SocialWork, Mental Health, Psychotherapy, or a related field.PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE Minimum 5 years of experience in Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS), preferably inhumanitarian, conflict, emergency, or Education in Emergencies (EiE) settings. Demonstrated experience in conducting psychosocial assessments and providing individual and/or groupbasedpsychosocial support services. Experience in facilitating trauma-informed and culturally appropriate support sessions.
