The “Haus Der Erde” (Hereinafter “Hde”) Construction Project Is A Central Part Of The Bundesstrasse Campus. The Hde Is Therefore In The Immediate Vicinity Of The Institutes For Chemistry, Zoology, Mathematics, Climate Research And Computer Science. With Around 22,000 M² Of Main Usable Space, The Construction Project Offers Seminar Rooms, Laboratory Areas, Office Workstations, As Well As Central Meeting And Communication Zones For Students, Teachers And Researchers. Thanks To Its Central Location In The Rotherbaum District And The Proximity To Important Research Institutions, The New Building Is Also Developing Into An Important Junction Between Science And Urban Society In Hamburg. The New Building Will Bring Together Various Institutes And Administrative Units At A Central Location. These Include A Total Of Seven Institutes In The Department Of Earth System Sciences As Well As Other Institutions Such As The Research Center For Sustainable Environmental Development (Fnu), The Center For Natural Science And Peace Research (Znf) And The Institute For Hydrobiology And Fisheries Science (Ihf). The Aim Of The New Building Is To Provide Modern, Functional And Science-Friendly Working And Research Conditions. The New Building Is Intended To Meet The Requirements Of Climate And Earth System Research In Particular And To Meet International Research Standards Through Modern Technical Equipment. With This Construction Project, The Uhh Is Also Following Its New Standards In The Area Of ​​Media Technology. The Extensive Technology Equipment For Hybrid Teaching Is Intended To Increase Flexibility In Teaching Scenarios And Promote National And International Collaboration. In Addition, This Building Does Not Use Projectors And Instead Uses Large Interactive Displays That Are Intended To Expand The Teaching Scenarios And Improve The Image Quality. The Subject Of The Process Is Therefore The Procurement Of Interactive Displays And Technology For Hybrid Meeting Rooms In Various Sizes And Expansion Levels, Both As Mobile Structures And In Stationary Assembly. The Project Includes The Delivery, Recording, Assembly And Commissioning Of The Media Technology In The Advertised Rooms. The Responsible Department At Uhh Is The Media Competence Center (Mcc) Of The Regional Computing Center (Rrz).
