fv. 49 Fossenbratte Tunnel - Tunnel Upgrade . Descriptionthe Fossenbratte Tunnel Is To Be Upgraded In Line With The Tunnel Safety Regulations For County Roads. The Tunnel Is Located On County Road 49 In Samnanger Municipality, Between Eikedalen And Bjørkheim. The Tunnel Has A Length Of 665 Meters And An Annual 24-Hour Traffic (Ådt) Of 2,831 Vehicles (2023), Of Which 15% Is Heavy Transport. It Is Classified In Tunnel Class B, Sign Height 4.2 Metres. The Speed Limit In The Tunnel Is 80 Km/H. It Has An Approx. 6% Drop In The Direction Of Bjørkheim. The Tunnel Was Opened To Traffic In 1976. The Upgrade Mainly Includes The Replacement And Modernization Of Electrical And Control Technical Installations, The Establishment Of A New Technical Building In The Day, A New Drainage And Stormwater System As Well As New Railings Both In The Tunnel And In The Day Zone. The Completed Upgraded Tunnel Must Have A Lane Width Of 3.10 Meters And A Sign Height Of 4.2 Metres, And The Shoulder Against The Leading Edge Must Be 0.5 Metres.
