The Hündfelder Moor Is Part Of The Natura 2000 Area “Amtsvenn And Hündfelder Moor” And A Nature Reserve With European Significance. In Recent Decades, Birch Trees In Particular Have Developed On The Moor Areas. There Are Also Willows And Alders. In The Hündfelder Moor, Disturbing Trees (Mainly Birch Trees, Some Willows And Alders) Are To Be Removed From Around 36.4 Hectares In Order To Prepare The Areas For The Rewetting And Renaturation Of The Raised Moor. This Also Includes The Removal Of Around 720 M Of Pasture Fences, The Gathering And Storage Of The Tree Cuttings As Well As The Setup And Dismantling Of The Construction Site Under Strict Nature Conservation Requirements. Since Moorland Soils Are Extremely Sensitive To Stress, The Use Of Machines Is Only Possible To A Limited Extent. On Moor And Peat Areas, A Ground Pressure Of 200 G/Cm² Must Not Be Exceeded. Thats Why A Large Part Of The Work Is Carried Out Manually Or With Specially Equipped Machines With Low Ground Loading.
