Request for proposals for Design and Delivery of a Clean Hydrogen Capacity-Building Program in Viet Nam Viet Nam is accelerating its energy transition in line with its commitment to achieve net-zero emissions by 2050 and its Just Energy Transition Partnership (JETP). In this context, clean hydrogen is emerging as a strategic solution to support industrial decarbonization, energy system transformation, and long-term energy security. The Government of Viet Nam has taken an important step in this direction through the Prime Ministers Decision No. 165/QD-TTg (2024), approving the National Hydrogen Development Strategy, which sets out production and consumption targets through 2030, with a vision to 2050. To support this national agenda, GGGI is collaborating with the National Innovation Center (NIC) to contribute to the development of an enabling ecosystem for clean hydrogen through policy support, market intelligence, stakeholder engagement, and capacity building. This assignment aims to strengthen knowledge, institutional readiness, and partnership opportunities between Viet Nam and international partners in the clean hydrogen sector. The objective of this assignment is to support GGGI and NIC in designing and delivering capacity-building and knowledge-sharing activities to enhance the understanding, preparedness, and practical capacity of relevant stakeholders for the adoption, management, and promotion of clean hydrogen technologies and projects in Viet Nam. ASSIGNMENT OBJECTIVE: The selected consulting firm shall design and deliver a tailored training program on clean hydrogen for key stakeholders in Viet Nam, with a focus on enhancing understanding of clean hydrogen technologies, value chains, market applications, financing considerations, and policy frameworks, while also generating knowledge products for future use and broader dissemination.
